3D animation for packaging machinery

The valuable motion in a packaging machine happens behind the guards, and no machine stops on a trade-show stand to show you.

Packaging equipment sells on stability, cycle rate and seal quality — and all three live inside the mechanism: how the film runs, when the jaws close, how the former turns flat web into a bag. Animation opens the guards and slows the clock down, so the client sees what they are actually buying.

WHY IT IS HARD

Where packaging equipment gets hard to explain

01The inside is invisible

Film path, sealing sequence and forming all happen inside the machine. Filming captures a housing in motion and nothing else.

02The stand gives you seconds

A visitor stops for ten or fifteen seconds. You need a cut that lands the selling point inside that window.

03Changeover resists words

How to adjust for a different bag width or film grade is expensive to explain out loud, and easy to explain incompletely.

04Throughput has no feel

Sixty bags a minute sits in a specification table. The customer has no way to judge whether that is fast.

WHAT WE ANIMATE

Key shots in a packaging film

Machine, mechanism and timing in three passes — and the machine stops being a box and becomes a system.

  1. 01

    Machine and operator interface

Establish the machine, its footprint, controls and infeed positions.

  2. 02

    Guards go transparent

The housing fades out into film feed, forming, sealing and discharge — one continuous move.

  3. 03

    The film path

From reel, through the former, to the jaws — the web route drawn as a single readable line.

  4. 04

    Sealing in slow motion

Jaw descent, dwell and cut separated and slowed, so the contact faces and the order of operations read clearly.

  5. 05

    Changeover points

The parts touched when changing bag width or film grade highlighted, making “easy to change over” visible.

DELIVERY

Delivery

Resolution
1080P as standard, 4K available
Format
MP4 / H.264; a 15-second stand cut can be pulled from the master
Camera language
Machine beauty shots, transparent housings, slowed mechanism close-ups
Modelling basis
Machine drawings or photographs plus drawings of the key mechanisms
Schedule
About four days per finished minute, from confirmed materials and script

PRICING

What this kind of project costs

Charged per finished second, 110–250 CNY. Machine beauty shots are comparatively light; transparent housings, film paths and slowed sealing need mechanism modelling and timing work and sit at the upper end. The shot-by-shot estimate governs.

FAQ

Three questions we get on packaging projects

The machine is still being assembled — can you start?

Yes. Drawings are enough to model. Photographs alone also work, but internal mechanisms hidden from view need drawings or descriptions from you; otherwise the film stays at exterior and schematic level.

Visitors only watch 15 seconds. Is a full film wasted?

No. A two to three minute master yields a 15-second stand cut, while the full film serves sales visits, tenders and technical review — one production, three uses.

Can our brand colours and logo go in?

Yes. Machine colouring follows the values you supply, and the logo needs to be vector so it stays sharp in the film.
